“You see, I think of myself as living in a large rural house in one room. I love the whole house but it’s that one room I’m completely at ease in. And that room is Quebec.”
- Gabrielle Roy

Quebec City, Quebec

Map Quebec City, Quebec, Canada

The crown jewel of French Canada, Quebec City boasts old world European charm and the vast array of entertainment and cultural amenities one would expect from a cosmopolitan city. Perched on a cliff on the north bank of the St Lawrence River, gorgeous Quebec City is the only walled city in North America. Narrow cobbled streets, lined with 17th and 18th century buildings, are filled with the types of independent merchants and dining opportunities that visitors can browse for hours. Quebec City has four very distinct seasons with hot summers and cold snowy winters. Providing visitors are suitably attired, the city makes a charming destination at any time of year.
